Project Posidonia

Aim of Posidonia Project: To contribute to the protection of seagrass meadow basins in the identified natural reserve areas, especially in Küdür Peninsula 1st Degree Natural Protected Area and Mediterranean Monk Seal Conservation Area, which have managed to survive construction until today, which are sensitive and urgently need to be protected, through the management plan and official status prepared jointly by local community users and official parties, and to ensure that the importance of seagrass meadows is conveyed to local people and stakeholders through awareness raising activities and meetings. Through the Seagrass Action Programme to be developed during the project, it is aimed to expand the marine protected area, especially the 1st Degree Protected Area of Küdür Peninsula, by taking seagrasses into consideration.
