BODRUM MUNICIPALITY AT CHANGENOW 2024 SUMMIT

Bodrum Municipality attended the ChangeNOW 2024 Summit in Paris as the only municipality from Turkey ChangeNOW 2024, attended by 30 mayors from cities around the world, brought together 35,000 participants from 120 countries, including universities, municipalities, entrepreneurs, investors, change leaders, policy makers, press members and citizens to offer concrete solutions for both social and commercial progress. Within the scope of the Sustainable and Smart Cities Programme, Bodrum Municipality from Turkey participated in the ChangeNOW Summit held in Paris between 25-27 March 2024. In the sessions held on the last day of the summit, which brought together mayors and municipal representatives, 4 topics, namely water and coastal adaptation, transport, circular economy and energy, were discussed under the theme of Adaptation to Climate Change, which covers ecological and social transformation. Ezgi Acer, Acting Climate Change and Zero Waste Manager, represented Bodrum Municipality on water and coastal adaptation. During the all-day sessions, experiences were shared on water problems and coastal flooding in the countries in the Mediterranean basin and solutions were presented by professionals specialised in water management.
